Ed Kohlhepp
Kohlhepp Investment Advisors, Ltd.
Ed is the Owner and President of Kohlhepp Investment Advisors, Ltd. He heads the investment committee for the firm and specializes in retirement and distribution planning. Ed's credentials include the following: CFP®, ChFC, CLU, CPC, MSPA and he is an Enrolled Actuary. He has the following securities licenses: Series 6, 7, 24, 63, and 65, as well as Life, Health and Variable Annuity licenses. He acquired his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from LaSalle University and his Masters in Business Administration from Temple University.

Ed has lived in the Doylestown area since 1977 with his wife, Betsy, and has 3 children and 3 grandchildren. He previously served as Senior Associate Professor at Bucks County Community College teaching Accounting, Finance and Statistics. He is a member of the following organizations: the Financial Planning Association, the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries, the American Academy of Actuaries and the Bucks County Estate Planning Council. Ed is listed in the Who's Who in Finance & Industry, the Who’s Who in the East, and the Who’s Who in America.

In spite of all of Ed’s credentials and expertise, he does like to spend some time out of the office. He is an avid golfer, although his score denies any sign of improvement no matter how much time he spends on the course. Since 1983, Ed has practiced shotokan karate and you can sometimes catch him wearing his black belt around the office. He has also been teaching karate to children ages 5-12 since 2000. Ed has a passion for music and has been playing the saxophone since he was a kid. Most recently, he relived his band days with a guest performance at his older daughter’s wedding. When the weather is nice, you’ll often find Ed taking long drives with his first, true love (don’t tell his wife!) – his 1968 Pontiac GTO.
